VastDB has just been updated with new Event Functions to version v9!

RELEASE NOTES FOR VERSION 9:

This is the largest batch of new annotations released so far. In this new version, we have further extended our set of annotated AS event functions in 481 entries from various articles plus 114 exons identified as implicated in cell fitness by a CRISPR-based exon deletion phenotypic screen in RPE-1 cells (PMID: 32249828). These add to a total of 2197 entries so far. As usual, all functions come from published references from PubMed, and are manually curated.

The total amount of entries per species are as follows:

  • Human: 1556 (including 186 experimentally validated ELMs and the 341 exons from CRISPR screens)
  • Mouse: 628
  • Chicken: 13

Each function is also displayed in the orthologous events' pages.

Thank you to all the users that contributed to this new release of functions. If you know a published function for your favourite AS event, remember that we are always looking forward to hearing about new annotations! Fill the form in our submissions section and we will review it for our next release.

Happy VastDBing,

The VastDB team
