VastDB has just been updated with new Event Functions to version v8!


===RELEASE NOTES FOR VERSION 8:===



In this new version, we have further extended our set of annotated AS event functions in 111 entries from various articles plus 227 poison exons from a CRISPR screen. These add to a total of 1606 entries so far. As usual, all functions come from published references from PubMed, and are manually curated. 


The total amount of entries per species are as follows:
* Human: 1148 (including 186 experimentally validated ELMs and the 227 exons from CRISPR screens)
* Mouse: 447
* Chicken: 11

Each function is also displayed in the orthologous events' pages.

Thank you to all the users that contributed to this new release of functions.
