vast-tools v1.2.0 has been released

New features:

• This new version of vast-tools includes the Schmidtea mediterranea planarian (assembly v31), as a new species.
  • The species key will be Sme.
  • The associated VastDB library can be downloaded from here
• Changes related to read length specification:
  • It is no longer necessary to provide the read length for quantifying gene expression.
  • It is also not needed that all reads have the same length
